Large WWII Japanese Navy 15 x 80 Binoculars on Tripod
The binoculars on the tripod stand approximately 60 inches tall. Binoculars measure 19-1/2″ overall, including the eyepiece. The binoculars are manufacturer marked by the firm of Takatiho in Tokyo, and they also bear the designation of “No. 338” as well as the 15 x 80 designation. Rear lens are adjustable for focus which function, with a ranging grid in the right eyepiece, and both have a built in orange filter. The binoculars retain the rubber eye shades, which are somewhat dry, and the olive green paint is largely intact. Some of the exterior bolts show some surface rust. The original Japanese Navy identification plate remains affixed to the top of the binoculars. Shipping to the west coast is about 100.00, east coast about 60.00.
