Large Scrapbook and Photo Album of a Korean War Era U.S. Army Armed Forces Network Broadcaster

$275.00

The album is approximately 12 inches by 12-1/2 inches. The album contains photographs, insignia, and memorabilia from Theodore C. Clemens, who served in the U.S. Army Armed Forces Radio Network in Japan, Korea, and Europe, between 1945 and 1967. Clemens, while serving in the Army and rising to the rank of a Sergeant First Class, preformed on the Armed Forces Radio Network as a radio show host and as country western singer “Cowboy Clem”, with the scrapbook featuring multiple photographs of Clemson performing, including performances in hospital wards for Korean War casualties. The scrapbook also includes photographs of actual country western performers whose songs were undoubtedly featured by Clemson on his radio programs. The pages in the album are loose and brittle, but the contents remain intact.
