The large porcelain plate is approximately 9-7/8 inches in diameter. The plate commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Royal Saxon 1st Rifle Battalion and Rifle Battalion 12. The reverse bears the crossed swords mark of the Meissen porcelain factory. The underside ridge of the plate has holes for placement of a hanging cord. The plate is without chips or cracks and it is in excellent condition.
