Large 4 Ft X 4 FT U.S. Army Air Force Aircraft Insignia Fabric

The fabric insignia is approximately 4 feet long by 4 feet wide, although the square edges are somewhat irregular. The fabric surfaces show expected signs of wear and age, with a khaki colored patch covering a small hole near one edge of the star, but the insignia remains impressive in appearance. The insignia was likely taken from a Boeing Model 75 Army Air Force Pilot Trainer “Stearman” biplane. Please note that the dark squares in the corners of the insignia in the photographs are books that were used to keep the insignia flat for the photographs, this being necessary because the insignia has spent decades rolled up and in storage.
