Kriegsmarine Officer Service Dagger with Etched Blade by Carl Eickhorn

The blade of the dagger is quite bright, with a clear and distinct etch, and showing only minor wear to the plating on the edge of the blade. The leather washer is in place at the top of the blade. The ricasso bears the squirrel trademark of the Carl Eickhorn firm. The celluloid grip is without chips or cracks, with the blade being tightly wrapped with twisted brass wire. The guard is very slightly loose, with the guard and the pommel showing uncleaned patina and only slight wear to the gilt finish. The scabbard similarly shows a dark and uncleaned patina. Overall the dagger is in excellent condition.
