Kriegsmarine Belt, Buckle and Kriegsmarine Marked K98 Bayonet as Brought Back By USN Vet

This set was brought back from the war by USN veteran Robert Beisel who was in an Amphibious Engineer unit. The belt is in excellent condition showing storage and handeling marks only, Coast Artillery buckle in near mint condition. The mismatched numbers bayonet and scabbard are in a leather frog dated 1941 with Eagle / M proof mark. The pommel is mostly grey with scattered dark areas and minor pitting, backstrap shows a number of small dents, blade retains much of its original blue finish and is marked “ASW 41”. Scabbard also retains much of its original blued finish with scattered minor roughness.  An untouched set from a local Berks County Pa veteran.
