K98 Dress Bayonet by Eickhorn with Frog and Portepee

The blade is generally bright, with runner marks, spots and scratches, with a film of surface grime. The ricasso bears the Eickhorn squirrel trademark, while a leather washer remains in place at the top of the blade. The black Bakelite grip plates are without chips or cracks. The guard and the pommel both exhibit speckling of the plated finish, with the finish being largely intact. The scabbard shows scratches and chips to the gloss black paint. The leather frog is quite clean, with the reverse being manufacturer marked and dated 1940 Tied around the frog is the portepee worn by members of the 10th Company of an Army infantry regiment. The rifle slot on the pommel retains a dark green insert. Overall very good condition.
