The blade is generally very clean, with some spots and signs of sharpening. The reverse ricasso bears the name of the Holler firm, while the obverse ricasso has the designation of “4981” over the letter “f”. The wood grip plates show darkening from age and use, with typical pock marks from wear in the field, but the grips are without chips or cracks. The pommel and guard have spots. The flash guard is present on the spine. The scabbard exhibits typical wear to the finish.The frog is constructed of heavy, textured canvas fabric. The frog shows wear and stains but it is complete.
