Japanese Army Type 100 Paratrooper Bayonet

A Japanese Army paratrooper bayonet with the manufacturer marking of the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works under Nagoya Arsenal supervision. The blade is approximately 7 7/8 inches long, with an overall length of approximately 12 1/4 inches. The bayonet has a bird head pommel, slightly contoured wood grips, and a straight quillon. The pommel is serial numbered. The wood grips show darkening with use and age but are without cracks or chips. The darkly blued blade is in excellent condition with the blueing almost entirely intact. There is some surface rust on the quillon and on the scabbard. Overall a very scarce bayonet in very good to excellent used condition.
