Japanese Army Third Battalion Flag on Staff
Printed silk construction, approximately 18 by 20 inches in size. The flag is mounted on a 42 inch hard-wood staff with a brass ball collar / finial. The staff has two heavy leather straps for securing the flag staff to a rifle in the field. Leather corner tabs, the upper tab secured to the brass collar / ball by means of a leather strap. The flag has the “checkerboard” stitching pattern that is found on many significant Japanese flags. The flag has some spots from field use but remains complete and intact.
