Japanese Army Officer Visor Cap with Removable Cotton Cover

The cap exhibits a fine saddle shape, with the surface of the visor showing typical age crazing. The cap has a wool body over which the officer wore a cotton cover that is fastened in the rear by a sliding clip. The cover shows a few tiny holes as well as bites to the red wool piping, but overall the cap makes a very good appearance. The interior of the cap retains the full silk lining as well as the complete leather sweatband, with the interior showing signs of wear and use. Overall very good condition.
