Japanese Army Officer Map and Documents Case

The leather map case is approximately 6 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches long, by 1-1/4 inch deep. The case shows stains and typical signs of use in the field. The Imperial Army star design is stitched into the cover flap. The initials “HK” are written inside of the flap. The shoulder strap is present, but it appears that the officer decided to wear the case on his belt, since the strap was adjusted to a short length and then tied in that position with a piece of twine that remains on the strap to this day. Very good field used condition.
