Italian Made Souvenir Marble Bookends

Each marble bookend is two piece construction and is 3 3/4 inches wide by approximately 3 1/2 inches deep by approximately 6 inches tall. The bookends were made for Kenneth Wayne, a member of the U.S. Army 1095th Signal Company, as a gift to his parents. The bookends bear the carved Signal Corps emblem and the locations of “Africa”, “Sicilia”, and “Italia” as well as the dates of “1943” and “1944”. The bookends have some very minor scuffs.
