Imperial Prussian Jaeger Shako Dated 1916

The shako is in overall good condition with expected signs of age and wear. The front visor has the usual fine age cracks while the surface of the rear visor is dulled in appearance. The leather chin strap shows rust on the buckles. The shako lacks the national colors cockade and the Prussian colors cockade that is present has been repainted. The Prussian front plate is present and it is retained on the shako by two leather strips on the interior. The shako lacks the front cockade. The full interior liner and drawstring are present, and the interior dome bears a manufacturer stamp and a date stamp of 1916.
