The leather surface of the helmet shows typical scuffs and scratches, as well as age crazing and surface grime. The spike, spike base, and the front Prussian wappen plate all show age and patina. The helmet has a national colors cockade, with the Prussian colors cockade missing. The chin strap shows age but it is intact. The front plate is retained on the helmet though two holes. The liner is present on the interior, showing age and use, but it is complete and intact although lacking the drawstring. The interior rear visor is marked as a size “60”. The helmet shows age and signs of wear, but it retains a fine shape and overall it makes a very good appearance.
