Imperial Prussian 1st Garde Regiment zu Fuß (1st Foot Guard Regiment) EM/NCO Pickelhaube with “Semper Talis” Garde Plate

The helmet shows typical crazing to the front visor, with some crazing, minor scuffs and surface chips to the body of the helmet. The helmet has a Prussian colors cockade, with the chi strap and national colors cockade being replacements. The silver spike exhibits scuffs and a crack that is approximately 1/2 inch long on the side. The helmet liner is well worn and torn on the left side, but it is for the most part complete. The garde eagle wappen front plate with its “Semper Talis” banner shows an uncleaned patina. The helmet plate is retained in the only two holes that are present on the front of the helmet. The leather body of the helmet retains a fine shape and the helmet is in overall very good condition, making a very impressive appearance.
