Imperial Japanese Type 18 Murata Bayonet with Chrysanthemum

The bayonet was used with the Meiji 18 Murata rifle. The blade is quite dark and it exhibits surface grime, spots, and scratches from use in the field, as well as multiple nicks on the cutting edge. The guard and the pommel similarly show spots and uncleaned patina. The guard displays the chrysanthemum mark on one side of the guard. The pommel is numbered. The wood grips have age toning as well as chips and dents from wear in the field but they are intact. The bayonet is lacking the scabbard. Overall the bayonet is in good field used condition.
