Imperial Japanese Type 18 Murata Bayonet

The bayonet was used with the Meiji 18 Murata Rifle and it has an overall length of approximately 23 inches. The blade exhibits surface grime, spots, and scratches. The guard and the pommel retain much of their original finish with accompanying dark uncleaned patina. The wood grips have age toning as well as minor pock marks but they are without damage. The bayonet lacks the scabbard.
