Imperial German Saxon Reserve Officer Pickelhaube

The helmet has noticeable age crazing to the helmet body and to the front and rear visors. The Saxon reserve officer helmet plate, the officer “fish scale” chin strap, the spike, the spike base, and the rear spine all show a fine, uncleaned patina.  The helmet carries two large officer cockades on the sides, one being in the national colors and the other being in the Saxon colors. The full interior leather sweat band is complete and intact, as is the interior silk liner. The interior of the helmet shows wear and use but the helmet is in overall very good condition.
