Imperial German Officer’s Field Gray M1915 Visor Cap of the 11th (2nd Westphalian) Hussars

The cap has a gray wool top with green cap band. The bottom of the cap band is piped in white, as is the crown of the cap, while the top of the cap band has both white and red piping. The front displays officer cockades in the Prussian colors and the national colors. The body of the cap shows some very light tracking but it is without stains or holes. The surface of the visor exhibits only very subtle age crazing. The interior retains its full leather sweatband and its silk lining, both of which show signs of use. Overall the cap is very clean and it makes an excellent appearance.

The regiment took part in World War I as part of the 9th Cavalry Division.
