The blue wool cap shows wear and use, with soiling, some tracking to the body, and a few small holes. There is some wear to the red paint in the center of the national colors cockade on the cap peak. The cap tally shows age and a small hole above the letter “T” in “boots”. One tail of the cap tally is largely gone. The interior shows similar signs of wear, and the sweatband stitching is gone in several spots, but the sweatband remains present.
