Imperial German Eagle Head Bayonet

The bayonet has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 13-1/2 inches, with a blade length of approximately 8 inches. The blade is quite clean, showing spots, scratches, and smudges, but being generally bright with intact finish. The ricasso ismarked “Ges. Gesch.”. The black Bakelite grip plates are without damage, with the obverse grip bearing the gilt cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The pommel is an eagle head style with red glass eyes, with both the pommel and the guard having an intact black finish.The scabbard shows wear to the black paint. Overall very good condition.
