Imperial German Dove Head Officer Sword

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 37 inches, with a blade length of approximately 31 inches. The blade appears to be bright beneath a film of surface grime, with some speckling of the plated finish, primarily on the cutting edge. The leather washer is in place at the top of the ricasso. The guard, knuckle bow, back strap and pommel all shows spots of plating loss. The celluloid grip is without chips or cracks and it remains tightly triple wrapped with brass wire. The scabbard retains approximately 90 percent of the gloss black paint.
