The bayonet has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 15-1/2 inches. The blade appears generally bright beneath a film of surface grime and old oil. The grip plates are without chips or cracks. The pommel and the guard show spots and uncleaned patina. The leather scabbard exhibits age, wear, and is weak where the leather meets the drag, but it is complete and intact. Overall the bayonet is in very good condition.
