Imperial German Bavarian Line Infantry Regiment Officer Visor Cap

The cap has a field gray wool top piped in red, with a red wool cap band. The front displays officer grade national colors and Bavarian cockades (although with age the wool center of the state cockade has toned to a shade of purple). The cap has a small hole in the field gray wool top in the rear side above the cap band, and a larger hole on the the edge that is approximately 1/2 inch long. The interior crown is fully lined, and the interior has a leather sweatband which shows wear but which is complete and intact.
