Imperial German 23rd Guards Dragoon Rgt. Stein

$345.00

A 1/2 liter stein, with an overall height of approximately 13 inches tall. The stein is named to a reservist who served from 1906 to 1908 in the 23rd Guards Dragoon Regiment, which was the 1st Grand Ducal Hessian. The central image of a mounted dragoon and a portrait of Prince Carl are flanked by scenes of soldiers in camp and in action, along with unit rosters. The rosters are faded and worn as to be largely illegible. The transfer images on each side of the stein have spots of wear. The top has a Hessian lion thumb lift and a mounted dragoon finial. The bottom of the stein has a “Farewell” lithopane scene. Overall very good condition.
