The leather surface of the helmet shows typical scuffs and scratches, as well as age crazing, particularly to the front visor. The spike, spike base, and the front Baden wappen plate all show some loss of finish and surface rust. The helmet lacks the cockades and the chin strap. The liner is present on the interior, showing age and use and lacking the drawstring, but it is complete and intact. The helmet shows age and signs of wear, but it retains a very good shape.
