Imperial Baden EM/NCO Feldmutze with Somme Capture Notation

The body of the field gray wool feldmutze exhibits soiling and wear, but it is without holes, damage or repairs. The cap band is a golden brown wool, bearing a Baden cockade. On the top of the cap there is an inked notation which is not entirely legible but on which the reference to the Somme can be clearly seen. Overall very good field used condition, and a careful examination with different lighting techniques might well reveal more of the capture notation.
