Imperial Austrian Officer’s Sword by Carl Grasser of Vienna

The straight sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 34 inches, with a blade length of approximately 28 inches. The blade is generally quite bright, showing spots and a film of surface grime. The ricasso bears a mark of three crossed swords, while the opposite side has the name of the firm of Carl Grasser of Vienna. The pommel, guard, and the back strap all show uncleaned patina, with the pommel exhibiting wear to the plated surfaces. The grip is covered in ray skin and triple wrapped with wire, one strand of which is a bit loose but unbroken. The plated scabbard shows spots, speckling, and verdigris as well as surface grime, but it is without damage. Overall very good condition.
