Identified Spanish American War Campaign and Veteran Medals Group

The group is comprised of the U.S. Army Spanish American War campaign medal, on a full wrap brooch suspension. The ribbon exhibits soiling and wear but it is intact. The edge is numbered “3381”, which identifies the medal as having been awarded to Burton E. Kennard of Portland, Maine, who served as a Quartermaster Sergeant in the First Maine Infantry during the war. The group also includes two membership badges for the United Spanish War Veterans, one of which is boxed and bears a Colonel rank strap on the ribbon. The crossed sword suspension of that badge is marked “A 255”. The other U.S.W.V. badge is numbered “35223” on the reverse of the top suspension. Overall very good condition.
