Identified Parade Dress Uniform of a Communist Bulgarian Army Armored Forces Colonel with Medals, Badges, and Documents

The group is comprised of the dress uniform of Colonel G. Kenanov of the Communist Bulgarian Army armored forces, together with his medals, badges, and several award documents. The uniform is comprised of the dress blue tunic with matching trousers and visor cap; the white dress uniform short; and the white officer’s parade belt. The jacket has a set of ribbon bars with 12 ribbons as well as 11 individual medals. One the upper right breast of the jacket are two academy graduation badges, one being for a political academy and the other for a military academy. The group includes the award document for the Bulgarian Medal for Military Merit, given in 1955 and containing a photograph of Kenanov in service uniform, although the medal itself is not present with the group. Other medals include the medal for 10 years of service in the Bulgarian Army, with award document; the medal commemorating 25 years of the Bulgarian People’s Army, with award document; the medal commemorating 30 years of the Bulgarian People’s Army, with award document; and the medal commemorating 30 years from the victory over Germany, with award document. The group is in excellent condition, with the uniform being quite clean and without damage. The cap band of the visor cap is somewhat misshapen, but otherwise the visor cap is in excellent condition.
