The blade exhibits surface grime as well as spots and stain. The “Blut und Ehre!” motto remains visible. The blade shows some indications of minor sharpening and it is unmarked by a maker. Both the guard and the pommel have loss of the nickel finish. The black Bakelite grips are without chips or cracks. The grip retains the enamel Hitler Youth diamond, which is also without damage. The scabbard displays areas of paint loss and spots, with the scabbard having its leather belt loop. The grip retention strap shows wear but it is intact.
