The dagger blade shows spots and surface grime, with a view barely perceptible nicks to the cutting edge and indications of sharpening. The blade bears the RZM code of M7/3, reflecting production by the firm of Kuno Ritter in Solingen-Grafrath. The leather washer is in place at the top of the blade. The black Bakelite grips are without chips or cracks, with the obverse grip having the enamel Hitler Youth diamond, which is similarly without damage. Both the guard and the pommel show loss of the finish, leaving a matte gray appearance. The scabbard is lacking the black paint. The leather belt loop is present, but the grip retention strap is gone.
