German Army Model 1944 Field Tunic

A very clean example of the Model 1944 Army Field Tunic in olive brown wool blend material. The jacket has a six button front closure. The chest has two patch pockets with button flaps. The material on the pockets exhibits a line in the photographs that looks as though there is a seam in the material but there is not; the lines are simply creases in the wool. The collar at one time had machine sewn collar tabs, as the right chest at one time had a machine sewn eagle on the breast, all of which were removed at some point. The shoulders each have buttons and wool loops to receive slip-on shoulder straps. The jacket is unlined in the rear interior, while the lining of the front is marked with issue stamps. The jacket is in very good condition, without holes, stains or moth tracking.
