German Army Generalmajor Uniform Tunic and Breeches Set

$6,500.00

The tunic is constructed of a high quality, field gray, wool Rayon-wool blend material with a subtle gabardine weave. The tunic is closed with six gilt buttons. The upper left breast has five loops for the wear of a long ribbon bar, while the lower left breast has four sets of thread loops for the wear of medals and badges. On the upper right breast is a fine gold bullion eagle, showing typical age toning. The collar bears the embroidered celleon tabs of a General. Both shoulders carry sew in boards of an Army Generalmajor. The tunic has a few spots but is makes an excellent appearance and it is without damage or repairs, and shows only relatively light wear. The tunic is fully lined, with the lower front lining having a stain that is not visible on the tunic exterior. The tunic is accompanied by gray wool breeches with the distinctive wide red wool stripes of a General officer. The breeches have an interior tailor label for the firm of Wilhelm Holters of Berlin, with that label being on the underside of an interior breeches pocket. The breeches are overall very clean and show only light wear, with a small hole (slightly smaller that a pencil eraser) on the front right leg just above the knee. All leg closure buttons are present, as are all pocket, fly, and suspender buttons.
