German Army Artillery Unit Soldbuch
$80.00
The soldbuch was issued in 1944 to Franz Drews as a soldier serving in an Army Stamm-Batterie, a unit whose function was to help the German infantry to escape from the encirclement of the Soviet army. The soldbuch contains multiple entries including one (on page 14) which appears to have been written in a Slavic language, possibly Russian. The soldbuch contains a printed form in the rear pocket, together with two additional photographs of Franz Drews. The cover of the soldbuch had the swastika removed from the eagle emblem. The soldbuch is complete and intact and the entries are legible.
