German Army 4th Pioneer Battalion Unterfeldwebel Waffenrock

The tunic is constructed of a quality field gray wool, with machine woven silver wire breast eagle. Th collar tabs and cuff tabs are piped in black for the pioneer branch. The upper left breast has two loops for a short ribbon bar. A marksmanship lanyard is affixed to the shoulder strap button. The shoulder straps have small surface holes where there were undoubtedly metal unit numbers attached to the straps until a regulation was enacted which required removal of unit numbers for security reasons. The exterior of the tunic is quite clean, showing a small hole in the upper left back as well as underneath the collar in the rear, as well as some wear at the collar. The interior lining shows wear, with spots and seam separations. The lining is marked in two places to the 4th Pioneer Battalion. Overall very good condition.
