Gau Thing Koblenz Trier Badge 1935 in 800 Silver

While this piece is frequently seen as a tinnie (for an example, please see the “Tinnie” section of my site), this version is a heavy, solid, die-struck badge in 800 silver for the Gau Thing events in Koblenz and Trier in June of 1935. Approximately 5 cm high by 3.5 cm wide. Marked “800”on the reverse left wing of the eagle. There are several known examples of a standard Tinnie being struck in 800 silver to be presented to the most senior officials of the Reich who were in attendance at the event. Excellent, as-fond and uncleaned condition.
