French Restoration Period Army Musicians Sword

Approximately 38 inches in length overall, with a blade length of approximately 33 inches. The blade is dark, with some surface rust, while retaining elements of the gilt blade decorations, particularly on the ricasso. The pommel and the guard show retained gilt on surfaces and in recesses, while the knuckle bow exhibits a loss of most of its gilt finish. The black ribbed contoured grip shows age and some wear to one edge, but it is without damage and it is intact. The sword lacks its scabbard.
