French Model 1830 Artillery Short Sword Dated 1833

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 26 inches, with a blade length of approximately 19 inches. The blade is marked “Fiher Freres” (“Fihet Brothers”) and the opposite side is dated 1833. The blade is generally clean, with tiny nicks to the edges. The brass guard is marked “1330”. The grip, the scabbard throat and the drag all show uncleaned patina. The leather scabbard is somewhat dry, with scuffs and flaking, but it is complete and intact.
