Flak Unit K98 Bayonet with Matching Numbers by Horster

A K98 combat bayonet in excellent condition. The bayonet has matching numbers on the scabbard and the blade ricasso and the reverse of the brown leather frog has a visible “Flak” stamp. The blued blade is in excellent condition, as are the blued pommel and guard. The blade bears the mark of “S/155”, indicating manufacture by the Horster firm. The wood grips have a few minor indentations but they are without cracks or chips. The scabbard has a blued finish that is largely intact. The leather frog shows carrying wear but it is complete and supple.
