First Model Luftwaffe Officer Dagger by Horster

A very fine example of the first model chained Luftwaffe officer dagger by Horster. The blade is bright although somewhat dirty and showing some minor spots and smudges that might well respond nicely to a careful cleaning. The blue leather grip has some spots of wear but is free of chips or tears and remains tightly wrapped with triple wire. The gilt finish on the sunwheel swastikas of the pommel and crossguard remains 100% intact. The blue leather scabbard has the typical minor scuffs and indentations but, like the dagger grip, it remains in overall fine condition without nicks, chips, or tears. All of the fittings of the dagger and scabbard are the bright aluminum variety. The dagger is in overall excellent condition.
