First Model Chained Luftwaffe Officer Dagger by E. & F. Horster

The blade is very bright, showing a few subtle smudges but with visible cross grain and making an excellent appearance. The ricasso bears the trademark of the firm of E. & F. Horster, with the blue leather washer in place at the top of the blade. The dagger guard and pommel are of the aluminum type, remaining bright and clean and with the gilt finish of the guard and pommel swastikas being intact. The blue leather covering of the grip is without damage and it remains tightly triple wrapped with silver wire. The chained scabbard also has aluminum fittings, with the suspension clip being manufacturer marked by the firm of Overhoff & Cie. The blue leather covering of the scabbard exhibits a few small scuffs and abrasions but the leather is largely complete and intact. Overall the dagger is in excellent condition.
