The blade shows spots and scratches across the length of both sides, with speckling of the plated finish. The blade is marked on the ricasso by the Horster firm. The leather washer is in place at the top of the ricasso. The black Bakelite grips are without chips or cracks. Both the guard and the pommel show some speckling of the plated finish, with some spots of plating loss. The gloss black scabbard paint is largely intact. The black patent leather frog exhibits age crazing and signs of wear, but it is complete and intact.
