Fire Police Dress Bayonet by Carl Henkel with Frog and Portepee

The blade is generally quite bright, showing some spots and scratches, and with a small bit of plating loss on both sides of the tip. The blade is marked on the ricasso with the name of the Henkel firm. The leather washer is in place at the top of the ricasso. The black Bakelite grips are without chips or cracks. Both the guard and the pommel show some minimal speckling of the plated finish. The pommel exhibits a number of diagonal scratches on the obverse side, while the top of the pommel has a spot that is flattened with loss of plating. The gloss black scabbard paint shows scuffs and scratches. The leather frog is quite clean, complete and intact. The ball of the portepee shows age toning, with some loss of material on the pink wool insert, while the strap shows age toning. Overall very good condition.
