Extensively Signed WWII Japanese Personal Good Luck Flag: “Ready to Die Ten Thousand Deaths”

$425.00

The cotton flag is approximately 31 inches by 35 inches. Two corners are reinforced and retain cord ties. The flag is extensively signed, and the flag is unusual in that the writing covers not only almost the entire white field, but the kanji was placed onto the sun itself, something that is not usually seen on signed Japanese World War II flags. The writing on the flag includes the patriotic wartime slogans of “Victory” (Written in the very center of the sun); “Foundation of East Asia”; “Conviction” or “Faith”; and “Ready to die ten thousand deaths”. The flag has a few small scattered holes but overall the flag is in very good condition and it makes a truly impressive appearance.
