Extensively Signed WWII Japanese Personal Good Luck Flag

The cotton flag is multi piece construction, with a separately sewn sun placed into an opening in the white field. The flag is approximately 27 inches by 30 inches. Two corners are reinforced and have fabric ties. In the corners of the flag are the four kanji for the patriotic declaration of “Continued Success in the Fortunes of War”, and the white field is virtually covered with signatures. The flag shows spots and signs of age, but it is without holes or damage and it makes a very impressive appearance.
