Exceptional Named and 1940 Dated Army Panzer Major’s Piped Walking Out Tunic

The tunic is constructed of a high quality ribbed wool blend field gray material, piped on the collar, cuffs, and front placket in pink for the Panzertruppe. The tunic has sewn in shoulder boards for the rank of Major with pink underlay, while the collar bears officer tabs with pink litzen. The upper right breast has a bullion officer eagle which shows a few broken green accent threads. The buttonhole displays the ribbon of the Russian Campaign Medal, while the upper left breast has four loops for a long ribbon bar and the lower left breast carries sets of loops for four medals and badges. The placement of the loops on the upper left pocket suggest that the Major wore a 1914 Iron Cross First Class with the 1939 spange. The interior of the tunic has a dagger hanger as well as the labels of a Dresden tailor. The interior pocket tailor label bears the date of 1940 and the name of the Major who wore the tunic. Overall the tunic is very clean, without holes, stains, or damage, and it makes an excellent appearance.
