Excellent Condition WWII Rear Seam Swivel Bale M1 Combat Helmet

The exterior, cork infused, olive drab paint is essentially completely intact, showing some spots and signs of age that appear most likely to have originated from storage rather than actual use or wear. The paint eve remains largely present on the helmet rim. The full web chin strap is present across the back of the helmet and, like the helmet itself, it shows virtually no signs of use. The front interior of the helmet appears to bear a heat stamp of “531A”. The liner is a Firestone example and, much like the helmet shell, its exterior paint is intact and the liner straps on the interior reflect no wear or use, although it lacks the chin strap. Overall the helmet is in excellent condition.
