WWI Trench / Pioneer Ax with Cover
$350.00
The head of the ax shows use, with areas of rust and corrosion resulting in pitting. While most fire axes feature a cutting blade on one side and a pick on the opposite side, this example has a hammer style design on the side of the head opposite the cutting edge. The cap at the base of the black grip bears a coating of light rust. The head of the ax bears a maker’s mark of a sword piercing a crown. The brown leather cover is complete and intact, with the belt loop being somewhat dry. The ax has an overall length of approximately 13 1/4 inches.
